I had to take one star off because of what is advertised on their online menu it is not reflective of the store and what they offer such as there are no mashed potatoes and green beans it says they have them online but when you get to the counter they are non existent. I decided upon a half chicken with the two sides brown rice and beans and boiled you cut with garlic sauce I also added on a large plantain and the fried cheese yuca balls. Customer in front of me is complaining about the little bit of rice that they got asking is that all the right that comes with this one scoop and she is told yes. This is the first time I'm getting takeout from this location.i had a pleasant cashier named georgeline. Altogether my half chicken into side and order of plantains and yuca balls came to 13 dollars. Now for the review on the items that I bought: the half a chicken was very delicious wasn't dry tasted very good seasoned well, I opted for brown rice and black beans which I really enjoyed a lot, the order of large plantains was definitely delicious the yuca cheese balls we're OK but nothing spectacular and it was supposed to come with a sauce and it did not, the boiled you can was very good but I did not receive the garlic sauce with that either( I suggest you open everything up and ask them where the sauces are before you leave I failed to do that and two of my items had no sauce when they were supposed to come with sauce) for that mistake I had to take off another star. All in all it was a decent meal and seeing that I didn't have to cook made it all the more delicious. I'm sure I'll make my way back there sometime in the future.

A okay place when it comes to their chicken. But would probably prefer the taste of McDonalds than this one. Service was okay, never had the chance to have more of their service because I was on a hurry that time. Place was okay, didn't had any problems when I got there.

We vacationed in the area and tried Pollo Tropical for the first time for lunch. We were not disappointed with the quality of the food or its value. However, other than the young lady at the register, the rest of the staff at the grill appeared zombie-like, totally uninspired and disinterested in customer interaction and customer service. Once you get past the register, don't expect any TLC at this location.

Order #174 placed around 1:25 5/06/2015 The cashier with the big fake butt has a lot of attitude and was busy speaking with her coworker when I asked her if she was ready to take my order she became very agitated. She took my Caesar salad to the back and started smirking with her co workers. My salad was mixed with dressing on it which I specified not to do. My gut tells me not to trust this salad. I've worked at fast food chains before and I'm positive theres saliva in my salad. I'm heading back now to get my money back. The employees here are ignorant.

Ok food but drive thru took more than 15 min on Sunday at 3pm - come on! Would not go back. Food is reasonable but only reason for 2 stars as not great but alright.

The drive through moves pretty quick. Usually the girl at the drive through is super nice but occasionally you'll get a hood rat who acts like she's doing you a favor by taking your order.

So apparently this place has takeout food and its a fairly common chain around here. I got the chicken breasts entre. Pretty good for $6.95 with a drink. There is a sauce bar if you go in the restaurant and the garlic sauce and curry mustard were my favorites. The beans were terrible and so was the service but I didn't expect much. Wrap was tiny. Restaurant itself seemed decently clean but we still took the food to go. Good choice if you want something to go and want something different than fried or fast food. Oh and the Hubby complained that the wrap was tiny so get 2 or another side.

Good reasonably priced food with awful service. One person cleaning tables at 11:00 while 10 people waited for food. On the way out my wife saw an idiot changing her babies diaper on one of the tables. Must be a Latino thing! We ARE talking about the same table where the next customer will eat their food!!!

Why is it that the further the location of a Pollo Tropical is from Miami, the blander the beans and rice become? Unsatisfying. Despite this, you can count on this location to be packed during lunchtime on weekdays. Assume you're going for takeout. Entry to it's parking lot can be frustrating as the Wal-Mart to the immediate south is always busy all the time. This location does not have it's own entrance off of Atlantic.

Dirty and kid taking orders/running the register was rude and unhelpful. Had no idea what some of the menu items were and when I asked he snapped the name back at me without telling me what the item was. For example...what is yellow rice? His answer "yellow rice". After ordering I seen I ordered the wrong items but what we had wasn't anything we would eat again.

After days of eating terrible fast food on our vacation to florida, we lucked out with our visit to pollo tropical. 1/2 chicken, rice & beans for about $6 - huge portion, healthy and better flavors than I've had at many a "real" restaurant. Highly recommended if your looking for good food on the go! Only issue was the 'grilled chicken strips' on the kids menu - which was literally their same spiced chicken breast, barely cut into lines with a pizza cutter or something... not exactly a hit for our kids; but we ate it up in a hurry!

Pollo Tropical is a fast food restaurant w/ decent fast food. It also offers healthy options (e.g. fresh grilled chicken, roasted chicken, black beans) att a reasonable price. Atmosphere - Fast-food w/ tropical theme. Order on one side and fill your fountain drink on the other where you can also pick-up your beverage straw, condiments and wet-naps. Plus you can watch them grill the chicken from the counter. Food - Tasty, fresh. I ordered the Cuban wrap, a grille chicken breast and a large Pepsi all for under $10. The Cuban wrap, while not healthy, was pretty good for a fast-food place. Not as good as the first Cuban wrap I have ever had, which was down in South Beach as few years a go, but good none the less. The fresh grilled chicken breast was fresh and oh so very good. Service - Fast-food service but still friendly and helpful. Overall - I will definitely visit a Pollo Tropical again in the future.

Excellent Caribbean-style fast food for very little money. People love this place and as a result you'll find it PACKED on a weekday at lunch time. You can wait 15 minutes for your food and end up with no place to sit. But where else can you get carribean ribs, sweet plantains and a Materva in drive-thru? Okay a few places but probably not this cheap and convenient.

This place is a must-go whenever I'm in South Florida visiting the fam. I wish we had something like this in boring old Illinois. It's just such a nostalgic experience (if you're Latino). White rice, black beans, yuca fries, plantains, perfectly grilled chicken, etc. I agree that my mom definitely adds a bit more flavor to her beans, but other than that, this place hits the spot. Beats McDonald's and other chains and isn't half as expensive as Chipotle & those other joints.

This is fast food that doesn't taste like fast food. The quality and taste of the meats are surprisingly good, with nice seasoning and flavor. I like the chicken & ribs combo with yuca and curly fries. The only caveat was that the fries were pretty much cold when I ate them, although I did eat them last. Still, I'd expect them to be at least lukewarm when I ate them. The chicken and the the ribs are both restaurant quality and roasted well. The yuca comes with a nice oily and vinegary garlic sauce. I got the original BBQ sauce for dipping the fries and the meat (I ended up just using it on the fries as the meat was flavorful enough without it). Overall, the quality of food you get for the price and the fast service is uncommonly good. I'm glad to have found this chain after moving to South Florida.

Pollo Tropical is on my regular lunch rotation. I've been coming to this location for a few months. It is usually clean and service is always quick. If you want to avoid the lunch time rush, make it here between 11:45 and 12:10. I noticed any time after that it is packed! Good luck on getting in and out quickly. The food is very good for a fast food place. The menu has a lot to offer. They have a variety of vegetables and meat. I remember the days they only used to offer chicken. Maybe I'm late, but I recently noticed they have ribs and pork on the menu now. (I haven't tried either of them; I'll stick to the chicken :). If you're in a rush and need something quick and healthy, Pollo is the best spot I usually order the value meal with the quarter chicken, corn and a side salad. You can't beat that for $5.04! But if you feel like ballin' out, you can get the half chicken with 2 sides for $7.31.

Great fast chicken and carribean food! Awesome choice of sauces and salsas to go. Decent prices for fast food. Perfect for last minute meal, even thoug it is a fast food, it feels like complete meal with rice and beans. Would definitely return as soon as craving hits! Thumbs up!

By far the best location I have experienced. Service was quick, friendly And my food was made to perfection. I'm not usually in the area but if I were to be, I'll DEFINITELY return to the location. I was pleased to see the line manager and general manager actively helping out. Great team work here!
